Luciano hung around making small talk with everyone while y’all were wrapping up for the night. Just before everyone was able to leave, he insisted that everyone comes to dinner at “his momma’s place” because there just isn’t any better food than momma’s! His treat and he just wouldn’t take no for an answer. He lets everyone know that dinner will be ready in two hours.

Momma’s Place is indeed a popular Italian restaurant in town and he had a windowed area sectioned off for the private dinner gathering. This isn’t the first – nor the last – time that this area of the restaurant would hold a private party. The windows to the room allow light in and allow the public to see what is going on without it actually being “public”. So long as no one was being tortured to where the other restaurant goers could see, it was just a normal dinner gathering.

The waitresses that served the party were invisible. They didn’t stay in the room any longer than they had to. They weren’t hindered at all from noticing when someone did need something because of the wonderful windows. There were two guards at the door but were having dinner at the table next to it rather than looking like obvious thugs.

Luciano was an artist of small talk that night. He could keep a conversation going for hours without actually saying or admitting anything. After two hours, you learned nothing more from him about his plans or the niece’s identity, upcoming wedding, nothing. He learned a few details about you but nothing that was actually a secret.

The food that was served was indeed phenomenal. You lost track of the courses after about the fourth. Then again, it was so delicious of true Italian home cooking that courses didn’t matter. By the end of the two hours, everyone was sure that they had to be rolled or carried out the door.

It was about 10pm when you got back to your hotel rooms. Inside each of your rooms was a dessert wine bottle from a winery in Italy with a fruit tray compliments of Luciano wishing you luck to complete the mansion tomorrow. The morning came too swiftly and you’re not entirely sure how it was 9am before you woke up. However, last night you had a very restful sleep and are fully refreshed. By the time you’re ready to go its 10am.
